Laura Linney was one of the greatest American actors of recent times. Her strong and flimsy roles have earned her a cult brand. Linney was born to an unmarried mother, who worked as a nurse. Linney became interested in theatre during the time spent in the summer with her father, who was famous. She was a student of acting in Brown University, and later in Juilliard School. After just two short months after graduating, she launched her Broadway-based career. The following year she made her debut on the world of film and television. She has been featured on a number of television, film and stage productions since then. In her long career, she's won many awards, which include the two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. In spite of the array of awards acting has been her passion first and foremost. She has continued to appear both in stage and screen.
